Tenant Services

How We Can Help!

Our program supports families and individuals in preventing homelessness and achieving stable housing through education, counseling, and advocacy. While we do not have attorneys on staff and cannot provide legal advice, we can help you understand your rights and responsibilities as a renter.

We offer:

  • Landlord/Tenant Education Workshops
  • Rental Counseling
  • Housing Search Assistance
  • Advocacy toward Permanent Housing

We Provide Information On:

• Your rights and protections as a renter
• Tenant and landlord responsibilities
• Housing search guidance – where to look, how to apply, and how to address credit challenges
• Resources for victims of domestic violence
• The eviction process – timelines, procedures, and your options
• Legal and community resources available to support housing stability

To serve you more promptly, please click on the link below to complete the intake process for the assistance you are seeking. Completing the intake does not guarantee assistance. Once your application and all required documents are submitted, a Housing Advocate will follow up with you regarding your request. Please be sure to upload all required documentation as noted (see below) on the Authorization and Liability Waiver page to avoid delays in your submission.

To avoid delays, be sure to upload all required documentation as outlined on the Authorization and Liability Waiver page.

In order to qualify for some of our funding opportunities, you must also provide a brief sustainability plan on the application. This plan should explain how you will maintain your monthly expenses after receiving one-time assistance.

Examples may include:

·         Starting new employment within a week

·         Receiving benefits or financial support (Social Security, child support, unemployment, etc.) that cover your financial responsibilities
